TREATMENT - The story of BST Hyde Park: Making History

Individual journeys leading to a collective narrative experience. 

It’s been ten years since BST Hyde Park was announced with the Rolling Stones. Our team will capture the explosive return of legendary headliners through the grandeur of the Great Oak Stage and celebrate the excitement of being face to face with current and future superstars on the secondary and Summer stages. 

Being the first return back to Hyde Park following a hiatus, our content will bottle the jubilant atmosphere. We will produce multi-elemental content: stings, stories, photographs, portraits, interviews, reels, highlight films, using vivid imagery and sound design to present this moment in history.  

The wider narrative is the greater sum of its individual parts, growing from a collection of focussed moments, into an interwoven thread of shared experience and a sense of collective belonging, culminating in the epic affirmation that those in attendance are witnessing history in action. 

From close to wide, micro to macro, from individual human details to panoramic awe inspiring production.

 
 
 

DAYTIME SHORT-FORM VIDEO CONTENT

Instagram stories, reels etc will be focussed on individuals personal journeys and narratives from both the artists and audience perspective.

Presented as a beautifully framed high quality moving loop of the subject looking into the camera, or dancing. Overlayed will be audio interviews (sound and text) where the festival goers will describe their connection to the music and the love that brought them to the festival that day.

The performers will talk about what it means to play at such an iconic venue. 

 Throughout the day we will put out these short vignettes as emotive reels that underpin the narrative of the festival.

DAILY ROUNDUP FILMS & FESTIVAL HIGHLIGHTS

Where one voice becomes a chorus and one face becomes a crowd.

Through the daily roundup films, we will transition from our focus on the individual to the huge scale of the crowds amassing, transfixed by huge productions and global stars.

The highlights film will follow fans as they rush excitedly to the stages, see their journey around the park, bumping into old friends, exploring and enjoying drinks in the Summer warmth. We will watch as the sun sets brilliantly over the park and hear the crowd roar as the biggest acts in the world step onto the iconic Great Oak stage.

As night falls we will witness the making of history as legends like Adele sing to a chorus of of 70,000 people.

 
 

INTIMATE BACKSTAGE PORTRAITS

Sonny McCartney will be set up with a dedicated backstage photographic studio with backdrop situated in the artists area in order to capture the iconic and classic portraiture he is renowned for, exclusively for AEG Presents. 

Sonny has longterm personal relationships with the Rolling Stones, amongst many others, enabling our team to have greater access to a much more personal side of these great artists.

MIDWEEK

Audiences in London are some of the most diverse in the world and BST Hyde Park’s provision of accessible entertainment is perfectly illustrated in the midweek programming of Open House. We will show how successfully AEG Presents welcomes people of all ages, genders and backgrounds to the free events at the Royal Parks.

Open House is for families, for visitors, for locals and for everyone.

As well as producing a roundup video for Open House, we will continue with the previously mentioned short form videos, interview and listen to the inspiring performers and producers talking about their work, giving them an even bigger platform.
