THE BEGINNING

We open with the face of a desperate and terrified man running full pelt towards us, screaming.

There is complete blackness around him apart from a glowing shape behind - the chapel. After a couple of seconds he trips and we see two people, clothed in pastel suits, chasing him. Unable to stand up in time they grab him. As he is dragged up and taken away from us towards the light we see that he is naked. 

We follow them as they struggle to take him back, kicking and pleading towards the light. We close in as they get closer, one of them, possibly his friend, is trying to calm the man down as the other speaks to a serene doorman.

They walk directly through the wall of light and enter the building.

The song starts.

THE CHAPEL

Still following we enter the chapel. The congregation is beautiful, numerous and full of anticipation. They are also clothed in pastel suits, wet looking hair and glossy skin as though they've just emerged from water. The chapel is entirely made from light.

The walls, the structure and the features - everything has a peaceful glow to it. There are shafts of sunlight coming through what could be windows. Hanging above, a large ≈  icon slowly rotates and emanates light. Our gaze gently travels over these features, gravitating back towards our protagonist.

The handlers usher him through the aisle, members come with a robe and cover him. They all smile warmly but hungrily at him. 

As he is brought to the front we see a preacher (Cavan) presiding over the events calmly. The man is gently made to kneel, facing the congregation. He is now resigned, unable to fight anymore. Staying close with him we see the preacher's hand come to rest on top of his head. There is some sort of chanting / prayers being said. As the man looks around his gaze settles on the members; some are swaying,  some muttering under their breath - eyes closed, some are shaking their head side to side with arms in the air. All have ≈ tattooed on their wrists.

THE BAPTISM

Coming back to the man's face we slowly travel up the arm of the preacher and settle on his face, his eyes are closed and he is talking. He stops and opens his eyes, we cut to the side and the friend walks towards the centre of the stage holding a silver tray. Closing in we see a water vessel, emblasened with   ≈ .

The preachers hand lifts the glass object from the metal. With a hand gently pushing back his head we see from directly above as he bathed slowly with the water, first over mouth then the rest of his face and body, a seemingly limitless flow coming from it. We glance around again at the congregation, their anticipation and excitement is growing. Cutting between him, the paster, the congregation and more and more often, the big spinning ≈ .

The chapel itself is moving. The light all around is starting to pulsate and change. The walls expand and the colour is shifting. The ≈ is growing and sinking. The members are chanting and writhing around. 

Zooming into his face and head we enter into his eyes. A series of pulsating circles are coming from an object far away, colour and light wash over us as it approaches us. 

It is spinning and emanating light in subtle waves expanding and accelerating. We see it now,  ≈  filling the screen

Front on again, he raises his head back up towards us. He is wet - the same as the others and his eyes are wide. He is lit by the ≈ which is almost directly in front of him. As he stares into the spinning light of  ≈ . The others start to appear around it, drawn to him. Joyous and euphoric they accept him. 

Rising with the  ≈  we drift above the scene, pulling upwards until we break through the roof of light, the congregation are looking up at us smiling.
